It's winter here, and while that doesn't mean scraping your car windshield in the early morning, it does mean colder temperatures. The heating has been on for the last few weeks, especially since none of the windows here are double glased and don't seem to be well insulated. The last few days has been raining solid, just when you think it can't possibly rain even more, it rains even harder!
But on the bright side, there are some fun winter activities. Next week we're heading to Thredbo, the skiing area near Sydney for a weekend. And in Bondi they had the brilliant idea of opening an ice rink...on the beach....in the sand! It's overpriced, and the skates aren't very good, but I we just couldn't resist.
And slowly but surely, plans for New Zealand are taking shape. After realising how booked everything would be because of the rugby cup, we started making reservations. We're excited about the route and having some well-deserved time off. Thanks to all who sent tips!
